CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

It gives me immense pleasure to record my appreciation for the PEF staff who are working hard to promote quality education in the remote and less developed areas. The efforts of the PEF staff are especially praiseworthy as they have enabled the poor families to send their children to school for education. And I believe that this is the most important silent revolution creeping in our surroundings.

The role of PEF is multifarious; it provides free education to the less privileged segments, arrange quality training for the teachers and the school Administrators besides providing educational vouchers for the child laborers and out of school children, who otherwise, have no other opportunity to get education.

I believe that the provision of free education is the most important human right of every child and the Punjab Government is committed to fulfill its obligation of providing free education to the children to their doorsteps. PEF efforts are helping to build sustainable partnerships with individuals and communities at large for optimum results.

I hope that the refurbished website of PEF will help to foster public understanding of our initiatives for strengthening Quality Education among the indigent strata. I hope this would help to boost public awareness about our programs.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Government of the Punjab for its continuous guidance and steadfast approach in supporting PEF efforts. We'll continue to seek out more opportunities that could make Pakistan a better place by utilizing the best resources to support this imperative cause.

I believe together we can make Pakistan the land of opportunities for which our forefathers sacrificed their lives in 1947.

MANAGING DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE

By the grace of Almighty Allah, Punjab Education Foundation has been recognized as one of the most reputed organisation promoting quality education in less privileged household of society. Recently World Bank has termed the PEF as a role model project in education sector for the third world countries and they have expressed their full satisfaction of the agenda of promoting Quality Education.

We are committed to serve to the children as they are the future leaders of Pakistan. PEF is working in the field of education in a way that could bring in hope for the poor families. The education is the more important factor that catalyzes social change in a society and we are providing free education to about 1.2 million children with an amount of Rs. 6 billion. This project is an important step towards achieving Millennium Development Goals.
