Training section provides training under School Leadership Program (SLP) and School Mentoring Program (SMP) core model.
1.School Leadership Program (SLP)
SLP is intended to prepare PEF head teachers to undertake their academic and administrative role.
2.School Mentoring Program (SMP)
School Mentoring Program provides support for PEF partner schools as under:
A: Teacher Development Program (TDP) - online
This is subject based online mode of training, each training consisting of 2 days having two sessions i.e morning and afternoon each day. Training is conducted in clusters by PEF MTs. The teachers of PEF partner schools attend training session while sitting at school or home by using computer/laptop/mobile phone through online platform. Whereas MT delivers from home.
B: Teacher Development Program (TDP) - face to face
This is also subject based training but with face to face mode, each training consisting of 4 days. Training is conducted in clusters by PEF MTs. MT conducts training session at a venue school where the teachers of PEF partner schools gather to participate in the training session.
C: Mentoring and follow up session
The PEF MT conducts Mentoring and follow up session online or face to face. The trained teachers are asked about the difficulty area faced by them during delivery of what they had been trained in. Based on their answers/response, the MT guides them accordingly. The MT also delivers certain content for clarification/reinforcement of important concepts.
D: Trained Teachers’ Evaluation
In order to gauge the impact of training and mentoring sessions, teacher evaluation is conducted through test of trained teachers. Successful teachers are awarded with e-certificate.
