Foundation Assisted Schools (FAS)
Overview of Program
Foundation Assisted Schools (FAS) is flagship program of Punjab Education Foundation, which was launched in 2005.
Spread of schools is in all the districts of Punjab.
At present, FAS has around 3,586 partner schools with enrollment of approximately 1.72 million students,
mostly from economically deprived strata of the society.
FAS program is delivering education to far-flung areas of Punjab through Public Private Partnership (PPP).
The PPP model enables private schools of marginalized areas to impart free quality education through financial
and technical assistance from PEF.
FAS program has significantly contributed towards changing society through dissemination of education
and improvement of people in their journey towards enlightenment.
The alumni of FAS Program are serving in vast array of fields ranging from education, medical, banking etc.
Students of FAS schools performed outstandingly over the years as many of them have earned distinctions
in their respective Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE).

- 5. Extensive SOPs for all major activities/tasks for smooth functioning
- 6. Redressing grievances of stakeholders through Grievance Redressal Committee, Centralized Complaint Cell and Appellate Committee
- 7. Quality Assurance Test (QAT) of partner schools to check teaching quality and students’ learning outcome
- 8. Continuous training to all partner schools’ teachers through leadership and teachers development training modules.
- 9. Quick resolution of partners’ issues through online complaint system
