Chairman Punjab Education Foundation Meets U.S. Congressional Leaders to Discuss Educational Cooperation
The Chairman of the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) visit to New York where he met with Hon. Tom Suozzi (D-NY) and Hon. Jack Bergman (R-MI), Co-Chairs of the Congressional Pakistan Caucus. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for enhancing educational cooperation between the United States and Pakistan, with a particular emphasis on exchange programs, institutional partnerships, and support for underserved communities.
The discussions underscored the importance of education as a bridge between nations, with both parties expressing commitment to initiatives that foster innovation, access, and mutual learning.
During the visit, the delegation also attended the Investiture Ceremony of the Civil Award “Tamgha-i-Khidmat” presented to the Honorable Ms. Diana T. MacArthur. The award was conferred by the President of Pakistan in recognition of her exceptional contributions toward strengthening U.S.-Pakistan relations and her service in humanitarian and educational fields.
This visit marks a significant step forward in building transnational networks aimed at promoting education, understanding, and development.
